Traditional systems look to institutions and organizations for solutions and impact. We see power in shifting the lens and resources toward individuals as the most authentic, sustainable way to create organic change centered in the unique needs, relationships and perspectives of their own communities.
Meet our company founders Dan and Adam
We know that the potential of the future rests with the young people among us—and we know that they are also disproportionately having to face the problems, anxieties and realities our disconnected human world has created.
But are we listening to, supporting and equipping young people in real ways to actually shape this future now? We believe that we have to create a better world with the next generation, not just for them.
Women are often the source of the world's most essential "invisible" relational work (and insights).
But they are also less likely to receive investment and more likely to face challenges and barriers to start and grow any endeavor. We believe that concentrating resources and focus around women yields not only powerful solutions but also equally powerful new ways of doing and thinking about things that can help to shape and balance what we value and how we perceive impact and change.
Around the world, there are important groups of people who have lived in relationship with place and land in ways which have been largely lost for much of humanity.
These groups have been overwhelmingly exploited and challenged for centuries by dominant human systems and globalization, to a point where those remaining are now marginalized and small in number. We believe supporting the innovators within these communities not only strengthens them but their examples also help us access and recognize their wisdom, history and practices that are more needed than ever in our broader human world.
Refugees form a unique community in the world: people who hold rich tradition and background from a homeland and a shared experience in being forced for various reasons to leave—a reality that is unfortunately growing exponentially in recent years.
People who have personal experience of this convergence of circumstances are best equipped to recognize what needs and opportunities it presents—and can show us invaluable approaches to support others as this experience continues to emerge in our world throughout a chaotic time.
Human society has ignored the influence and voices of other beings and elements on our planet to our profound peril and damage. In many indigenous cultures, the land and non-human beings have voice and space within human processes and decision-making that recognize the essential interconnected nature we all share on this planet.
We seek to find the most substantive ways that we can include the voices of all participating beings in the work and visions we see and support.
